And more sad because Oz was losing someone so integral in his life. It made me so sad that Emily had been denied knowing her.

It broke my heart for Emily and Oz to be experiencing Olivia’s illness. And he was down on her straight away for judging, which I found to be both a bit ironic and a little hypocritical. Oz should have realized that Emily had been raised differently – and even the way she had been taught to fear the club. I think I could understand Emily’s judgement easier than Oz’s. What about you? Were you pulled right in to the story? And what did you think about Emily and Oz? What I loved about them both was how they moved past it, got to really know one another and worked on understanding their different worlds. But when I thought on it, I realized Oz was a little judgmental as well. I was a little upset with what I saw as Emily being judgmental even if I could forgive it since she’d been raised as she had. I was immediately drawn in to this story! Between being instantly smitten with Emily and Oz and needing to have all the secrecy around Emily explained, I was loathe to put this one down. I so agree, Brandee! I don’t think I’ve read any McGarry since RT in Atlanta, and that’s a long time ago. She delivered a riveting, angsty, romantic, and suspenseful story with a cast FULL of characters I now love. With Nowhere But Here, I’m doing it again. Wow! Just wow! Every time I read Katie McGarry I kick myself for not reading her more often. But sometimes the right person is the one you least expect, and the road you fear the most is the one that leads you home. What he doesn't count on is that Emily just might turn that dream upside down. So when her father asks him to keep her safe from a rival club with a score to settle, Oz knows it's his shot at his dream. And while Emily-the gorgeous and sheltered daughter of the club's most respected member-is in town, he's gonna prove it to her. Oz wants one thing: to join the Reign of Terror.

Not the club, not her secret-keeping father and not Oz, a guy with suck-me-in blue eyes who can help her understand them both.
